Unstoppable, unflappable and dedicated Tony Walsh is the Managing Director of RR Events, with over 20 years’ experience in managing events. Having started in the events and markets industry as a consultant in the early 2000. Tony is now renowned in the industry for designing, planning and creating some of the best events in the UK and Europe. RR Events was born from Tony’s desire to plan events with a difference and to deliver beyond expectation.

Tony states “Planning, managing and delivering an event is one thing but transforming it into a remarkable experience is another, because exceptional events don’t happen by magic, they happen through passion and dedication”.


As well as steering the company vision to become the UK’s largest operator in the Market and Events Industry, Tony also manages his own consultancy service for Events:

John McInnes
John McInnesChief Operations Officer
John is the Chief Operations Officer for RR Events and is responsible for the management of all the UK markets and will focus on developing and extending the company’s portfolio through broader strategic initiatives and the leveraging of new opportunities. This includes expansion of the Continental Street Market programme and continuing the success of the town centre Food and Drink Festivals.
Matthew Hartwell
Matthew HartwellMarkets Operations Manager
Matthew has recently been appointed to the position of Market Operations Manager. He brings a wealth of Markets experience, gained from working for Marketplace Europe for over 6 years. He has a large personal network of local authority contacts, as well as extensive contacts from traders across Europe.

Matthew will be key to ensuring the growth of the Continental Street Market programme in-line with the businesses ambitions. He manages our growing team of Event Staff, and will be developing the next generation of Market Managers from within the business.

Lee McDonnell
Lee McDonnellEvent Market Manager
Lee has worked for markets and events for over 10 years, Lee directs and manages the Event Operatives and co-ordinates the many different elements of an event despite any strict deadlines and shifting priorities that we may face. Lee is one of those people who simply gets the job done, no matter how many things there is to be done. Lee is uncompromising in his standards and remains calm when the going gets tough. Lee enters each event with passion, excitement and unfailing enthusiasm which makes him an asset to any client event.
